Similarities and Differences of Hyper Poetty, Text-Talk Novels and Blog
Good day! It's a wonderful day to know about the 21st Century Literature and three of its many genres. If you think it's a bad day to learn about it, well, you're wrong. There's never a bad day to learn!
21ST CENTURY LITERATURE'S GENRES
We now live in modern times, 21st century to be specific, and as literature improved and widened, a lot of different types of genres of literature emerged. Three of those said genre is the Blog, the Text-Talk Novel, and the Hyper Poetry.
Before we start, let's familiarize you to 21st Century Literature. 21st century literature is a new literary works created within the last decade and it often breaks traditional writing. It deals with current themes and reflects technological culture. The authors are imaginative when it comes to writing. It has many different genres and one of it is familiar to me, the manga. But we won't be talking about that today, we will focus on the three genres mentioned earlier. We will talk about their difference and their similarities and how their characteristic is similar in terms of elements and structure.
Let's talk about the Blog first. Blog can be written by one or different people that contains his/her own opinions, interests, and experiences. Blog is honestly unfamiliar to me, I've never read one before but now I'm making one. Blog and Hyper Poetry are both in text.
Second is the Text-Talk Novels. Text-Talk Novels are told almost entirely in dialogue, base on the example provided, it is a picture of a conversation or it is like a conversation type of novel, I think an example of this is the "au" or "alternative universe" story that authors in twitter (now called X) makes. Blog and Text-Talk Novels both talks in First Person Point of View, where they both shares their experience or opinions.
Last, the Hyper Poetry which is a digital poetry that uses links and hypertexts mark ups. Same in Blog, this one is unfamiliar to me too. Hyper Text and Text Talk Novels both can be access online.
All of these genres are born in 21st Century Literature, they too all can be access online. The characteristics that makes these genres similar in terms of elements is all these genres has stories to tell, and the authors are from 21st century. While in terms of structure, all these genres have a similar structure, it has beginning, middle, and end. In doesn't start with the middle nor it starts with the ending.
21st Century Literature and those said genres are entertaining and useful to us in the way that it can help us improve or widen our imagination or our vocabulary. I'm grateful to be alive and have the previlege to know that those genres exist. And because we have the chance to read it we should support and help in keeping it alive for the next generation to come.
That's all, I hope you found it knowledgeable and I hope that it helped you in a way that it helped me. Good bye!
